Foolishness guides the hand of the aggressor,
While wisdom sits back patiently on its throne;

Thorns impale the brow, their pain inflicted,
A spear piercing the side, red waters flow,
The table set, just as death had insisted,
As darkness falls, life utters its last groan;

Grief strikes at the heart of those deserted,
Tragedy lays down its final blow,
The tearing of a veil, the sin is conquered,
As face to face with life, the broken come;

The Holy Spirit subdues their divination,
As inexplicably, it shines its light,
The free no longer bound by hesitation,
Baptized by faith, the lost regain their sight;

One who sits idle while complaining that others aren’t doing enough;

One who abandons the embrace of peace to surrender to the clutches of evil;

The great level of faith of one stricken with disease and the lack of faith of those who are physically well;

The generosity of those who have little and the stinginess of he who has plenty to share;

The demonstration of empathy for others by one who has suffered a lifetime of abuse and neglect;

The ability of the glow of inner beauty to outshine external flaws and inner darkness to impede that which would otherwise outwardly attract;

The significance of the insignificant.
